It really is a nice cover!Eros and Psyche...That sounds incredibly interesting, having read Till We Have Faces by Lewis. (An amazing book, HIGHLY recommend it!)
Ohh cool! Thanks so much for the recommendation. Also, we should have a topic thread for Eros and Psyche retellings. I don't know any so I'll make one right now. :)

I thought that since they're popular, but I didn't know of any books, just tv shows and comics, it would be fun to read some retellings and came straight here. Glad you're having as much fun as me :)

Oh, once we dip into mythology, I'm done for. That's my weakness: fairy tales and mythology. If we find some stuff that crosses over into werewolves, too, I'll be a goner!
Haha I’m glad we got your back for your favorites. :) I’m guessing you really like Little Red Riding Hood retellings? I think a retelling of Little Red Riding Hood you might like is For the Wolf (Wilderwood #1). I read part of it, but it wasn’t my type of retelling. I think it might be your cup of tea though although I’m not sure if there’s werewolves per say since I didn’t finish all of it. But I love werewolves too! I find the different ways authors write fantastical beasts fascinating. :)
I do...I really do love Red Riding Hood stories. I like them the most when they're mixed with more than just a love story, too (action, conspiracy, etc.)I LOVED For the Wolf! Nailed it! I just have to space out my readings so I don't get annoyed at the similarities...Haha!
I love the way authors pick apart and make up their own werewolf legends. There are some that are bound to the full moon....others that can change with a magic pelt, and still others that have been cursed...there's just so much room for great lore.
My favorite part of werewolf stories, though, is the pack politics and the duality of nature. The constant struggle to be who you want to be, instead of what your brain (ahem, wolf?) keeps telling you to be? How relationships start as one thing (hierarchy) and evolve into something else (pack).
I could go on for DAYS.

Ooh those dynamics do sound fun to explore! I've read some where the pack dynamic is actually a comfort and feeling of connectedness that allows you to share who you are with your pack members whose your second family, so it's interesting how your stories go in the opposite direction.
I'm glad I got one that you loved down haha. I think I comment so much that I'm beginning to know what all the regular's tastes are. I've leveled up as a moderator lol.
Have you read Hunted by Meagan Spooner? This book focuses on the listening to your brain and battling your wolf sort of dynamic that you mentioned so I was wondering if you've read this one since you might like it.

But that cover though. It's so pretty. Look at those wings!
(This story is a YA fantasy romance as is mentioned in its synapsis.)
