Cee Jackson (ceeteejackson) | 5 comments 'Damp Dogs & Rabbit Wee' is a series of humorous and compassionate animal vignettes (mainly canine) revolving around my business as a dog walker / pet professional.

It was initially self published in 2015 & gained 27 'five star' reviews between Amazon UK and USA.

Although I just left it on Amazon's virtual shelf, gathering virtual dust, these past five years, it has now found a publisher & been republished with the slightly amended name: 'Damp Dogs & Rabbit Wee - The Life and smells of a Pet Professional.'

First time around, I arranged a Goodreads Giveaway of physical copies in exchange for honest reviews. However, I now see this can only be done for American and Canadian markets .... and costs many, many dollars!

I'm Scottish - it's hard enough for me to give something away for nothing, never mind PAY to do so.

Any ideas?

Cheers!

Stephen Wallace | 23 comments Is there a way you can just have someone in the United States mail them to people? I see the book is like $14.95 on Amazon and no used ones available.
If I can help in some way, let me know. Otherwise, I would just suggest sending a few free ones out to people with a lot of followers (of which I only have a few but specially good ones :-))

Kathryn (kkazoleas) Hello!
I'm a newly self published author and new to navigating this realm. While I do not have much advice to offer at this point I just wanted to congratulate you for sticking with your book and having now found a publisher. Your book sounds wonderful. :)

Thanks Stephen - probably not able to get physical copies to USA as would really be cost prohibitive. I'd be happy to 'gift' a couple of Kindle editions to genuine readers who would review .... however, even that seems to have been restricted these days and I believe you can only do this within USA / Canada.

Congratulations to you too, Kathryn! I know your book is aimed more at youngsters but I had a look at the preview, and reckon it'll be a lovely, fun read. (Just downloaded it, actually - I'm always being told I never grew up. ;) )

I love the idea of dogs / animals talking and communicating as in human speak - the real dogs in DD&RW 'do' that too. I think it gives great room to develop the characters and give scope for some funny interludes. (Compassionate moments are also stronger when read in the context of an animal related tale, i think.)

I'll have read this week and pop up a review.

Cheers
