Clay Jannon, a web designer out of a job, gets hired for the overnight shift at a strange, 24-hour bookstore with few visitors and even fewer customers. There are strange people who borrow strange books filled with strange symbols, a secret society, Google Books and OCR, immortality, and fonts.
This was a really cute book. I enjoyed the story, and the characters were a lot of fun to read about. It definitely took a bit of suspension of disbelief with regards to Google's involvement in the adventure---I feel like Big Tech has come under a lot more scrutiny now than it perhaps had been under even a decade ago---but this was a lot of fun.
I saw that you'd posted your review earlier this month and rated it highly, but I didn't look at it then because I was partway through the book - I'm glad you enjoyed it!
