I listened to this one on audio and enjoyed my time with it. I really enjoyed Furiously Happy by her and although I didn't like this one as much, I still think she's hilarious.
Deborah wrote: "I already read it when it first came out. It is very funny."Awesome! I am really hoping for a funny read. I'm just about to start this.
Anyone else currently reading? I just read the chapter, "An Open Letter to My Health Insurance Company." I was like, "This!!! All if this!!" So, relatable!

I just finished Broken this morning. I gave it 4 stars. It was hilarious at parts. As someone who suffers from depression, it was very relatable. This was the first book I read by Jennifer Lawson.

Maybe an unpopular opinion but I am not enjoying this book and might not finish. She is just too over the top to me and I find annoying. Appreciate sharing her struggles with health and mental illness but is there a point to this book?
I’m not familiar with Lawson, but I listed to the audiobook. It was alright, I’d give it 2.5 stars. If i was familiar with her, i think i would have enjoyed the book more. I will say that Chapter 12B was by far the funniest part of the book.
I usually don't read non-fiction too often. I found this book entertaining, it was like sitting with her in her living room having a conversation with a friend. I did listened to the audio book, so that may have something to do with it.

Broken
As Jenny Lawson’s hundreds of thousands of fans know, she suffers from depression. In Broken, Jenny brings readers along on her mental and physical health journey, offering heartbreaking and hilarious anecdotes along the way.
With people experiencing anxiety and depression now more than ever, Jenny humanizes what we all face in an all-too-real way, reassuring us that we’re not alone and making us laugh while doing it. From the business ideas that she wants to pitch to Shark Tank to the reason why Jenny can never go back to the post office, Broken leaves nothing to the imagination in the most satisfying way. And of course, Jenny’s long-suffering husband Victor―the Ricky to Jenny’s Lucille Ball―is present throughout.
A treat for Jenny Lawson’s already existing fans, and destined to convert new ones, Broken is a beacon of hope and a wellspring of laughter when we all need it most.
