1.
The Passing Playbook by Isaac Fitzsimons (public library)OMG I loooooooove it!! I am making all the heart eyes. I laughed. I cried. I stayed up way too late.
2.
Beetle & the Hollowbones by Aliza Layne (school library)Cuuuuuute.
Ooh I had a milestone moment a few days ago: I returned my entire library book stack!! I had finished them all on winter break. I did check out three books as soon as I checked in my stack... But still!! For a brief moment I had nothing out from the public library, which hasn't happened in at least 6 years.
3.
The Dark Forest (Remembrance of Earth's Past #2) by Liu Cixin (public library, audiobook)Wow, that was epic. Seriously it was 22 hours long lol. I finished it today within 20 minutes of it expiring because I didn't wanna have to wait in the hold list for months again! In the beginning I felt kind of lost because almost none of the characters were the same as the first book, but eventually I figured out that I hadn't just forgotten dozens of characters' names, and got into the flow of it. At no point did I know how this book would end. And now that it has, I have no idea what to expect from the final book in the trilogy!
4.
You're in Good Paws by Maureen Fergus (school library, storytime)First storytime of the new year done!
5.
Ancient Mesopotamia by Sara Green (school library)I'm still in the middle of a couple books that are taking me a while because I keep watching TV instead of reading in the evenings lol. So I decided to knock out a short library book or two this weekend. This one's part of my effort to read more of the books we add to the library. Ancient history is an interest of mine so I enjoyed this one! We got a whole series of them on different ancient civilizations so I look forward to reading the rest.
7.
A Kid Is a Kid Is a Kid by Sara O'Leary (school library, storytime)8.
What Are Your Words? A Book About Pronouns by Katherine Locke (school library, storytime)
9.
King Solomon's Mines by H. Rider Haggard (public library, 1001 Books)My second 1001 Books You Must Read Before You Die book of the year, after 1984 (which was a reread). It was pretty good but took up more of my time than I hoped or expected.
10.
Paper Girls, Vol. 2 by Brian K. Vaughan (public library)11.
Hold That Thought! by Bree Galbraith (school library, storytime)
12.
Decluttering at the Speed of Life: Winning Your Never-Ending Battle with Stuff by Dana K. White (public library, audiobook)13.
I Am Not Okay With This by Charles Forsman (public library)14.
Extra Yarn by Mac Barnett (school library, storytime)
15.
Clan by Sigmund Brouwer (school library, audiobook)I've fallen behind on my MYRCA nominee reading! This brings me up to 6/9 of the Northern Lights nominees, and I've read 5/9 of the Sundogs nominees. And this was the last one I could read as an audiobook!
16.
When Planet Earth Was New by James Gladstone (school library, storytime)17.
Facts vs. Opinions vs. Robots by Michael Rex (school library, storytime)
18.
Aaron Slater, Illustrator (school library, storytime)19.
Death's End (Remembrance of Earth's Past #3) by Liu Cixin (public library, audiobook)Once again I was forced to cram in a huge chunk of this audiobook in the final day because I didn't want to get stuck at the back of a huge waitlist again!! So, not the ideal way to wrap up this trilogy, listening to it at 2x speed for like 6 hours in one day lol. But overall I liked the trilogy a lot!! Like wow, at no point did I know where things were going.
20.
The Boxcar Children by Gertrude Chandler Warner (public library, audiobook)21.
Surprise Island (Boxcar Children #2) by Gertrude Chandler Warner (public library, audiobook)22.
The Yellow House Mystery (Boxcar Children #3) by Gertrude Chandler Warner (public library, audiobook)Those were actually all combined into one audiobook but I'm counting it as three since they are originally three books.
23.
That Pesky Rat by Lauren Child (school library, storytime)24.
It Fell from the Sky by The Fan Brothers (school library, storytime)25.
The Language of Ghosts by Heather Fawcett (public library, audiobook)My 12th MYRCA book of the school year. Voting is happening right now so it's not really necessary for me to keep trying to read them all, but they are good! What I should do is try to predict some of next year's nominees and get a head start lol
26.
The Lost Scroll of the Physician (Secrets of the Sands #1) by Alisha Sevigny (school library, MYRCA nominee)27.
Zeus: King of the Gods (Olympians #1) by George O'Connor (school library)28.
