Aight, so.
I think that uniforms are stifling and limit self-expression. They are extremely expensive and some of you may argue that "they project uniformity and unity" no, actually they don't. When it's a uniform thats up for very broad guidelines, the richer kids will always have the better clothes, thus leaving the poorer kids with worse clothes, and you have the same situation. Kids will still be bullied. They will still be made fun of.
Some kids, all they have is their clothes to show how they feel and some of you will say, "they can find other things..." but what if they can't? What if they aren't good at anything but fashion? *it does happen*... They aren't adults yet and they should be allowed to display their body how they want *within parameters*...
Have a dress code. Many, if not all, schools have them and they keep everyone in check, without subjecting parents to outrageous fees just for clothes. If you go to a private school, I'm not against them as much just because usually you have more money and it's a choice. Public schools are just kind of chill and if you're trying to present a business environment, sorry, but it will most likely fail in the end because well, kids will be kids, they will be mean and uniforms doesn't solve that problem.
There's my opinion!

That's totally it!
Well, uniforms are not that expensive here, but still people cannot afford them when they attend government schools. They have to provide with uniforms if they want us to wear them. It's not only that; people may even feel uncomfortable wearing them. Like suppose if there is short skirt as a uniform, then some girls might feel insecure about wearing them around. It all depends on what kind of uniform, but it should be the child's choice whether he/she wants to wear that or not.
