I loved the fantasy side, all the plot twists towards the end were crazyy and i loved the zumra so muchhh
I credited it as one of the reasons why I got back into reading, it was soo good I really adore everyone in the books, it was also nice seeing some familiar names also the second book has a character with my name who didn't say anything but has a questionable job
lol ixmon, But yes i didnt even know the characters were arabic or came from arabic culture, they said something and i was wait hold up u say that in urdu and when i did search the book up it came up as arabic culture.
in regards to whether or not the characters are muslim or not:the author wanted to write a book relating to the middle east, but shown in a good light, rather than in the dehumanising way the media portrays it
and she didn't want to make the characters muslim, because she didn't feel comfortable having fantasy elements (magic etc.) coexisting in a world with islam
yeah I knew that after posting my review I think someone mentioned that in the comments of my review
