Hi, I joined Good Reads last year to try to get back into reading as I had stepped back and got out of the habit of picking a book regularly. I grew up as a book worm, and would read most of the day if I could!
Hi, I joined Good Reads last year to try to get back into reading as I had stepped back and got out of the habit of picking a book regularly. I grew up as a book worm, and would read most of the day if I could!I am currently reading a paperback called Heart Sick by Chelsea Cain, a crime thriller based on a serial killer targeting teenage girls, and follows the police hunting him.
Unfortunately, I am not captured by this one and feel like I have to force my way through it!

Hello Alicia!! I've definitely enjoyed being on Goodreads and getting to know folks through their reading styles etc. Are crime thrillers your go-to genre? I don't know about forcing my way through a book...if I'm not into it, I put it away or give it to someone else lol

I'm currently reading two books at the moment. The first is "As Always, Julia: The Letters of Julia Child and Avis DeVoto". It's letters that Julia and Avis exchanged while Julia was in France and Avis in the US, who eventually helped her with publishing Mastering the Art of French Cooking. The second is A Promised Land by Barack Obama. Really good so far. I'm just at the point in the book where he's decided to run for president.
