The featured book for February is Firekeeper's Daughter by Angeline Boulley!

This debut novel won the 2021 Goodreads Choice Award for Young Adult Fiction. It tells the story of Daunis, a half White, half Ojibwe young woman who gets roped into solving local crime.

Are you excited to read this book? Is there anything about it that makes it stand out to you?

Christine | 142 comments I am excited to read this book! It has been getting a lot of buzz. It won the 2022 William C. Morris YA Debut Award, the 2022 Printz Award, and was selected as an Honor title for the 2022 American Indian Youth Literature Award. I love reading books with multicultural representation, particularly #ownvoices novels such as this one. I am looking forward to learning more about Ojibwe culture from reading this debut.
