Thanks to Dara for the original inspiration behind this challenge.
Since Barb has been handling this challenge since the beginning, it's time to pass the reins to another mod.
If you are still playing the game, you DO NOT have to start over! You can update any of your previous posts in the other thread, but you will not be able to post a NEW message in that thread. Instead, post your next update here, in this thread, which will give me a post to link you to for all subsequent updates.
If you haven't started the game and would like to, feel free to jump in now :)

As the name implies, this will be an ongoing, perpetual challenge for as long as you wish to participate. There is no starting date or ending date, so there's no pressure on anyone to finish by a certain date. Here’s how it works:
Turn on your radio, iPod or other music player, and make a note of the first song played. If you’re using your own personal music device, please be fair and choose a song totally at random! Your challenge will be to spell out either the song title OR the band’s name. If the song is from a soundtrack, you may also use the name of the show/movie from which the song came.
Use the first letter of the first word of the book title (disregard A, An and The) OR the first letter of the author’s first or last name for this challenge.
EXAMPLE: The first song played when I turned on my radio today was Bad to the Bone, by George Thorogood. I would choose between spelling out either BAD TO THE BONE or GEORGE THOROGOOD.
The perpetual part of this then comes into play: When you finish your first song, if you want to continue participating, simply start over again. Turn on your radio/music player, note the first song you hear, then repeat the process above. You can repeat this as many – or as few – times as you wish. If you feel the need to drop out at any time along the way, you are more than welcome to rejoin at a later date.
For this challenge, all book formats count, each book must have at least 150 pages, and cross-challenging is not only allowed, but encouraged. Ready … set … listen, then read!
