:Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry: discussion

This is where Second-Years and above come to be taken to Hogwarts. The carriages suit four people each, so there’s quite a lot. They are all carried by Thestrals, which are magical creatures that can only be seen by one who has witnessed death.

Rowan walked up with Oliver hooting on her arm. "Calm down boy, they won't hurt you." She reaches up and pats one on the nose. She squeezed her eyes shut. She hated being able to see them.

Tommy walked up to the same Thestral, and stared at it for a long moment. ‘Thanks for reminding me of Cecile, bitch.’ He thought bitterly before climbing into the carriage.

Rowan hesitated. Thinking of that night. She clenched her fists and slowly climbed into the carriage. She sat across from Tommy. "Is it bad that I hate them?" She whispered.

“I hate them too. But it isn’t their fault, if you think about it..” Tommy grumbled. He fidgeted with the strange muggle device he had found before, and a bright light suddenly came through it. “WELL WHAT THE FUCK MAN—“ He laughed at the sudden shock.

She nodded and looked up quickly when the device came on. "What did you do?" She leaned over to see better.

“I pressed the button on the top—“ He shook his head in surprise. Then something came out of the top. It was Tommy’s face mid-yell. He fell into yet another laughing fit at the sight.

"Ohhhh, its a camera Tommy." Rowan leaned over and took the picture. She burst out laughing as she looked at it. "Your...your face...its all...." She couldn't finish, she was laughing so hard.

Tommy did an exact representation of the picture. “Haha!” He couldn’t keep a straight face anymore.

Rowan laughed and laughed. "Are you always this funny Tommy?" She gasped for breath as her laughter faded away.

“I am FunnyInnit,” He spoke, puffing out his chest before he paused and laughed again. “HAHHHH!”

Rowan was dying laughing. Tommy was the best thing that had happened to her since she was nine. "I haven't laughed this much since I was nine. Its nice." She looked out over the edge of the carriage at the woods beyond. She couldn't wait to get back to them later.

“George has been hiding all his emotions since age 8, and I managed to make him giggle a few times. It’s nice to know I can make people smile.” Tommy admitted.

Rowan looked out into the woods beyond. "Making people smile is a great talent to have." She watched as birds flew in trees and she could have sworn she saw a centaur far back behind the trees. "Hiding your emotions isn't a bad thing" she whispered. "I do it all the time."

"Well.. You don't need to hide things from me!" Tommy then stood on his seat. "For I am Sir Smile-a-lot! It's officially a thing,"

Rowan smiled, but kept looking out into the woods. Was she avoiding looking at Tommy or..? She looked down the path. "A couple more miles until the castle." Then its lonely city for me. She didn't say this out loud.

"Nice! Though, how on earth am I gonna find that colorblind mushroom lover in such a big place—" He thought for a moment, "Oh—Wait—Great Hall. I'm so stupid-"

Rowan looked over. "What?" She noticed an animal watching them deep in the woods.

"Oh, uh—nothing." He then saw the animal when he looked to where Rowan was looking, "Uhm.. What is that?-"

It was a fox. It bounded around and looked at Rowan. She realized it was Arthur, her fox friend. Whenever she transformed she would go and play with him. "Its a fox, I guess its curious to see the carriages." Rowan couldn't wait to go and see Arthur.

Tommy smiled at the animal. He then waved at it. "That's a cute fox." Then he added, "You look like you recognize it."

Rowan looked up startled. "What? No, I don't know any foxes. That would be weird." She realized she sounded super defensive and hung her head. "Sorry."

"No worries. Sorry for assuming things. Hey, you know that bitch Slytherin who petrified you? I heard he talks to snakes." Tommy lowered his voice. "But that sounds like a fairy tale, dun' it?"

"Isn't that called Parsletoungue?" She asked. It wasn't unheard of. In fact, one of the Deatheaters that had killed----Nope, no, she want going there. She clenched her fists and tried to remember how to breath normally.

"Yeah, a Parseltongue. But it's probably just a rumor, nothing to worry about." Tommy shrugged. "Anywho, wanna try this 'camera' thing?"

Rowan looked up. "Yes! Can you work it?" She leaned over, excited.

"Hm.." He pressed the button from before, and yet another bright light shined through. This time it had Rowan's excited face and Tommy screaming at the light. "AH-"

Rowan fell backwards laughing. "Why does this crack me up so much?" She held her stomach as tears rolled down her face.

"That scared the living ghost out of me!" Then Tommy froze, "Wait, ghosts don't live. HOL' UP, THAT'S NOT POGGERS!"

Rowan laughed again and looked put into the woods. Arthur was following them, he knew Rowan in her human form. She tried to pretend that she didn't notice.

"That fox really is curious." Tommy pointed out. "Ohhh, does it want a picture?" He teased, holding the camera.

Rowan smiled. "Take a picture." She watched as Arthur stopped and wiggled his ears.

Tommy made the camera face Arthur, and he took a photo. "Ayy! Cool fox dude!" He applauded, and set the camera back down.

Rowan smiled. "I'll see you later!" She called to Arthur. She immediately slapped her hand over her mouth. Idiot! She thought.

"Oh, are you friends?" Tommy asked. 'Ah-Hah. I recognize that sentence. George said he used to hang out with the 'fellow' rabbits once.' "Or.. Are you an Animagus?"

Rowan turned red and tried to hide her face behind her hair. "Maybe I'm an animagus." She whispered.

"What's so wrong about that?" Tommy shrugged. "I personally think you're lucky. It's not every day you find a young Animagus."

Rowan looked up. "You have to promise not to tell anyone." She said very seriously. "I don't want the---people to know." She hoped he didn't realize she'd cut herself off again.

"I won't tell a soul. You aren't the only one." Tommy looked at her sincerely, "I may be a jokester, but I will keep a secret safe."

She smiled a little less nervously. "Thank you." She looked out into the woods again, but Arthur had disappeared. "That fox was my friend Arthur, when I transform he likes to play with me."
