Tracy has a freelance journalist riding along with her because of a critical exposé recently aired by a television reporter, accusing the department of sexism. The report had several first-hand, anonymous accounts. Does it make the exposé less credible without named sources? Should those sources have been willing to come forward?

During the time this book if told from - not sure anyone would want to rock the boat with their name on an exposé- especially since it's (was/is) a male work environment. I would think they'd be afraid of being fired or demoted.

I agree with Melissa. Putting your name out there would be like putting a target on your back.

No way could those women give interviews and allow their names to be used unless they were ready to quit at the same time. No matter the issue, talking to a reporter about inside business is a big no-no! And this issue? Career ender.

It doesn’t make the exposé less credible but less powerful. Not sure there’s ever a better solution.

I agree. Women would never have allowed their names to be used in an interview which could end up ending their career. At least the expose got this reporter her opening.

I agree with all of you. They best thing is to get the word out anonymously. The women who came forward in the military around this time, had to deal with more discrimination.
