Tracy’s first call is a domestic disturbance and she’s alone. Why do you suppose law enforcement considers these type calls one of the most dangerous? What other options did she have considering no backup was immediately available?

~Melissa~ | 429 comments Emotions are high - you're never sure what you are going to walk into and there can be children involved - as there was here. Didn't seem like she had any other options. No one was going to come to her rescue with what else was going on in the city at that time.

Robin (robinmy) | 2454 comments Domestic disturbances can be very volatile. People are upset. Many times someone is drunk or high. It can turn into a hostage situation in a matter of seconds.

Tracy had the choice of either going in or waiting for backup which could take a long time. She decided the situation could not wait, so she had to go in.

From what I’ve gleaned from law enforcement, domestic disturbance calls are unpredictable, which makes them dangerous. The parties involved are intimately involved with each other and both can turn on the police in an instant. They are often volatile.

I couldn’t see any other options. Tracy knew the wife and children were inside and extremely vulnerable based on past history. After Alexy shot at her, she could not turn back.

Karen ♐ (kmk1214) | 909 comments I would agree. It would be very unpredictable since there are high emotions and very often, children involved.

Sharon Kallenberger Marzola | 3485 comments I agree with everything said above.

Tracy didn't have any option but to go in to save the children.
