I did enjoy this short peek. I liked get to see Tracy in action - and it was even better that she was on her own and you get to see how she acts/reacts in her job.

This was a good story. We see how Tracy made her way up to being a detective. I'm looking forward to the next book.

I enjoyed the sneak peak as well. Gave a great insight into Tracy's character, skilled, tough but oh so human.

I loved this. It’s an excellent illustration of how special circumstances can help overturn a bad policy (passing over women for promotion) without confrontation. It’s subtle but this is how it happened back in the day.

It also gave me incredible insight into Tracy. I found her smart and clever in the first novella but here she showed some serious skills on many levels. The internal politics management was excellent.

I’m so ready for this series!

I agree Susan. I loved this look at the start of Tracy's career. I read the first book in the series, and these novellas answered some questions for me.

I was really glad to get both prequels; it will be very helpful when Book 1 is read again.
