There is a good article in the Jan 31 (today’s) Publishers Weekly about all the books being successfully sold on BookTok.
Only sort of use it. While I'd love to support all of those authors who're trying to generate interest in their work it's just not in my budget.
How have I not heard of this? As an author myself, I'm curious which generation and/or reader genre this appeals to?
Yes, as an author, I have a BookTok account to promote my work and connect with other authors/readers. It can be fun.
No, i am not using any kind of ticktock. Not using the app but i've watched a few booktok videos on instagram
booktok has been so cool to find people to discuss books you lived or hated with. I love the jokes and memes about books! I've never had a lot of friends who read/read the same books so I love being able to see others reactions to the same books I like.
Since everyone’s been talking about BookTok, I thought I’d share something too—I wrote a book called The Return of My Protector. It’s an emotional story about friendship, misunderstandings, neglect, and deep pain for the sake of a sister. The main character even ends up in jail because of her sacrifice for her sister. Has anyone read or liked books with similar themes?

As an author, I'm interested to know what readers like you think of the social media/book talk site, BookTok. Do you use this site for book recommendations? If so, what do you think of the books users of this site say are worth a read?
Look forward to hearing what you have to say. Thank you.
