Elodie is an archivist in London. One day while she is at work she discovers a sketch of a house that seems very familiar. It is like the house in a fairy tale her mother would tell her. She is determined to find out more about the sketch. This leads her to Birchwood Manor.
This book is about the people and events surrounding this manor.

The writing in this book was wonderful. I really wanted to like this book, but there were so many characters and so many time jumps I had a hard time keeping track of them without occasionally going back and rereading.
I gave this book 3.5 stars rounded to 4

She is one of the 64. I liked the other book I read by her and plan to read others.

Amy | 12982 comments I have the Lakehouse out of the library. I have read four or five of her works and have like three left.
