Hi everyone! New guy here. Hope I'm not stealing anyone's thunder, but I think it would be fun to collectively pick a few titles to read this year and get some discussions going. Since this group doesn't seem to have a theme per se, I suppose the genre is wide open. I'd personally love to read any of the following, but I think this is usually done by group survey (yes/no? moderators?), so feel free to suggest others. Thanks!

I’m in several groups that have Buddy reads where you either have 2 people read/discuss the same book or you have one book for the month and those who want, participate in the discussion:. I’ve also been a part of “pick one for me” where people wanting to participate provide their TBR list and someone selects 3 books for them to read for the month. I would be open to doing any of those or someone else’s creative ideas.
Thanks NancyMagaly, those are all great suggestions. I’ve seen monthly reads in action elsewhere, and would be interested in either that or a Buddy Read, just not sure how to get that started in this group. In my others I’ve just jumped into the existing boards/discussions.Above I threw out 5 titles that seem popular and that I’ll definitely be reading this year (The Martian / The Book Thief / Exhalation / Americanah / Before I Let You Go), so if anyone is keen to Buddy read & review, I’m game. Or otherwise, if we could get a few folks interested in something else, even better.
I don’t mind starting a book discussion for February. I’ve read The Book Thief (loved it). I couldn’t find which “Before I Met You” as there were several. I like Americanah and Exhalation. I think there’s a way we can start a thread for the book discussion. I’ll check with a moderator

Before I Let You Go
If you are using a computer, you can hover your mouse over the book cover to see title and author. I don't know if you can do that on the phone app.
I prefer using Goodreads on my laptop. I dislike the app very much.
