Andrei, thank you. No objections from my side. Any suggestions on where to get this book from?
Another book I would like to find is "The Joy Luck Club" by Amy Tan. Does anybody know where to find it (maybe online)?

Looking for "Wolf Hall" by Hilary Mantel , no luck so far, but don't worry, it is just a question of time.
And what about Mantel's previous book "Beyond Black" which was longlisted several years ago (also Booker Prize)? Is it possible to get it? It is a kind of mystic novel if my memory works correctly.
I had an opportunity to see the film "The Joy Luck Club" at American Embassy. They invite people to come and watch the best American films at their premises twice a month, usually on Thursday at 18.15. I asked for the permisiion to send invitation to our reading group as well. They will be pleased to have us at their film discussion meetings. I will forward their invitation to all of you as soon as I have it.
I really liked the movie and started to read a book. If you want to read it as well Olga can send it to you.
Best regards, Tamara

"Wolf Hall" by Hilary Mantel was picked from a shortlist that included novels by A.S. Byatt, J.M. Coetzee, Adam Foulds, Simon Mawer and Sarah Waters.
Hilary Mantel's eleventh novel has been the bookies' favourite since the longlist was announced in July 2009. She is the first favourite to win the prize since "Life of Pi" by Yann Martel won in 2002 and went on to sell over a million copies.

So it is my new proposal for future reading. According to its description it is a really good historical novel. In 1999 I've read Mantel's other novel - "A Place of Greater Safety" - the best book about the French Revolution and its heroes I ever read
