I think there’s a book with this title. No, it’s not about that book.
Hi guys, it’s me again. First of all, happy new year everyone! I just read She Who Became the Sun (when is the sequel coming out ugh), and I was skimming through some fanfiction (too few works, I lament it, but we’ll written). As I read, an idea came to my mind: an arranged marriage, where the woman loves the man (I’m sticking with a straight couple since historical arranged unions were limited to that) but he only feels indifference for her. As time goes by, she does a lot for him but he barely gives her the time of day (e.g. she foils the plans of someone who wanted to harm him, she organises him a welcome home feast (a historical party) after he’s been away for business/war/whatever… I can’t think of anything else. Anyway, along comes someone who catches her husband’s interest very much, and she watches it happen, broken-hearted. After they have a fight she leaves, persuaded to be doing the best thing for him…
Well, then there’s gonna be a happy ending, I just need to think about it a bit more. Anyway, anybody know a book like this? I’m stuck on ancient China atm but any suggestion is welcome! Thank you 😊
