Do you prefer reading physical books or e-books and why?

Agnieszka (agnieszka7) I prefer e-books. The reasons from the top of my head:
- the weight won't change with the number of pages & there is no guessing how many books I can pack for my vacation before reaching the weight or package limit :-)
- if I don't like the book I just started, I have some other to choose from & I can switch to a new one immediately
- light is no longer an issue if it's getting darker
- I can adjust the size of the print if I wish

Dondra I prefer physical books. I like to read more non-fiction than fiction and tend to earmark, underline and otherwise mark passages. I also like being able to actually turn a page, I guess.

Victoria (hotcocoaandbooks) (hotcocoaandbooks) Physical books. I do have a kindle app on my tablet and have read maybe 4 books on it, but honestly, considering I read about 80-90 books a year, my favorite is to hold an actual book, smell an actual book (especially used for some reason), and to be able to feel how thick the book is and to look to see how may pages are in the chapter physically or in the total book physically (since ebooks usually tell you page numbers including index and extra stuff like appendixes I won't be reading). I have a stack of books in my bedroom ready to be read and I like seeing them there and to organize them in stacks of 5 at a time of when I'll be reading them. I sometimes organize them by subject, titles, or colors. haha. I haven't read an ebook in a year and a half.

I guess I am on the fence. I enjoy reading and I take my Kindle everywhere so there is always a book handy. BUT, I love going to the library or bookstore and discovering something new. And to be honest, sometimes I have both physical and electronic versions of the same book and I switch back and forth, lol!
