Eliza | 241 comments I also posted this in the historical romance group, but I feel like BR would execute this theme well, too.

I'm looking for books that bring old flames into a new romance. I prefer the old flame to not win in the end, I just want them to just be a problem for the new romance. You know...jealously etc.

I just read An Impossible Attraction and even though I HATED it, I did love an old love coming into the picture and muddling things up. He was a good guy and didn't mean to cause trouble, but it was an issue all the same.

Also, Candice Proctor did a GREAT job with this in Night in Eden. This guy was a dick and simply showed up to cause problems.

Thanks!

Aw I'm sorry you did not enjoy An Impossible Attraction! I liked that the old love was a good guy - it switches things up when the OM/OW is just a person, doesn't always have to be a villain.

I've heard good things about Night in Eden... must try out.

Eliza | 241 comments Lauren- man that book looks detrimental to my health!! I don’t know that I can handle a book that doesn’t have a clear HEA like that. Lol!

I like mini love triangles...where you know the old flame doesn't really stand a chance because the new love is so strong.

A full on love triangle would break my heart because I feel like the ending would never be satisfying no matter who was chosen.

Lauren | 117 comments Eliza, i remember crying like a baby bc I loved them both. Still it was good even if it's not a BR

Now if your okay with VERY dark H love triangle for the bad guy then try The Libertine's Wife again not for everyone! He is an actually libertine not a PC rake. Sorry rant coming on. Fighting it ;)

I also liked A Wicked Proposition Beware this one is an addicted series!

Eliza | 241 comments I'm never going to read the book so feel free to send me a spoiler on who she picked!!!!

Lauren | 117 comments Oh i cant get my spoiler tag to work. But oviously she picks the reformed rake husband. Sorry it took me so long to responded. I know you' ve been dying to know ;) I should say that he reforms pretty quickly after reuniting with his wife. I enjoy their relationship until her brothet blackmails her.

Oh i forgot Once and Always by Judith Mcnaught
Rule's Bride by Kat Martin, though not sure if its a BR.
Only With Your Love by Lisa Klepas

Hope that helps
