callyms room has plants lining the walls. Artificial ivy vines twirling around everything, keeping tables and his bed in place. He has a veil over his bed and hanging plants from the ceiling. lining one of the walls is three bookshelves to entertain them at night.
June stands in front of the door at the end of the hall, taking a deep breath before knocking. Probably her least favorite part of the job is dealing with the royals. It always drains her. She's been working there for years, always doing her best to avoid them at all costs. She'd honestly be surprised if they knew she was there half the time. She props the laundry on her hip and knocks quickly, waiting for some sort of signal she can come in. She'd rather not walk in on anything... unseemly.
June’s eyes sweep over the room, taking in the new surroundings. She hadn’t been in this room before. She honestly didn’t know what to expect, but she surely wasn’t prepared for it to be this clean. Is it a trick? Did he know she was coming? She glides by him, emptying the basket into her own. “Is there anything else I can do for you, sir?” She asks, her gaze hovering over their figure with the smallest ounce of curiosity.
"Nope!" He chirped, running her hands through his hair. Callym shifted to stand, being oh-so-much taller then June. They grinned "Could you make sure that you close the door gently? I'm a tad hungover."
June looks at him for a moment, stifling a small comment about his height. "Of course, sir." they say, not taking their eyes off of him. They glance him over once before turning on their heel and leaving, shutting the door quietly behind them.
(( sure! Maybe they have little chats up until then when she’s around him. Like if she’s grabbing his laundry or if he calls her down to chat. So they’re not unreasonably awkward around each other ))
The maid, Junebug, she had made a lasting impact on Callym.
It had taken them a few hours of merely just thinking about June. It took another hour for them to reach out to the other maids to get her name.
She ordered that June would be the one to bring up the laundry, just wanting to be around them again. Callym had her hair up, hands on her lap as she sat at the desk, waiting for the hesitant knock she oh-so anticipated.
June knocks on the door quietly. "I'm here for your laundry. May I come in?" She had only spoken with Callym on the rare occasions where she picked up their laundry. Now she was specifically called to pick up their laundry? Something's different...
"Yep!" She chirped, spinning around in her chair. Callym watched as June opened the door, their eyes carefully watching her features. "And, if you want, you can stay for some tea! I'd like to talk to you about a new position."
"A new position? I'm not being fired, am I?" June glides over to the laundry basket and empties it into her own. She only glances over at her once she's done. "Tea would be nice, if I'm able to retain a job."
