During the past month I have read:
When Did You See Her Last?
File Under: 13 Suspicious Incidents
Why Is This Night Different from All Other Nights?
My favorite book of these three was File Under: 13 Suspicious Incidents because I loved the layout of the book- it was like a scavenger hunt! It was a lot of flipping but was super to fun! It was a quick read and the solutions made me laugh or realize and then slap my head because it just made SO MUCH SENSE XD.
Buttttttt... there were also alternate solutions, PLUS a convo with two people. Theodora and I think Dashiel Qwerty? (view spoiler). Anyways, this book was soooo good, and I loved the ATWQ series!!!!

I read too many books last month to want to mark all of them....like twenty seven or something...and it's sooooo hard to choose a faovrite! But here are some of my favorites from this month:Unknown this was a reread, I'm reading the second book right now. Very intense and kept me on the edge of my seat the whole time! and nearly gave me a heart attack on multiple occasions
Fled for Refuge another one full of suspense and high stakes....more near heart attacks and massive cliffhanger!!
The Warrior's Curse the last book in the series. It was a satisfying ending still full of intensity and fear for the characters which I've come to love throughout the series :D
Symphony for the City of the Dead: Dmitri Shostakovich and the Siege of Leningrad so interesting learning about the soviet era of Russia! Lots of terrible things happened...yikes. I'm glad I wasn't living there then. But definitely good to learn about
Mark of the Thief such a cool book!! set in ancient rome. Very similar vibe to her other books, but I can forgive that cuz it was an awesome book
Dagger's Sleep: A Retelling of Sleeping Beauty this whole series was phenomenal!!!! definitely recommend.
Honestly, most of these were very short stories/articles for school. The ones below were the ones I actually read just because I wanted to read them.
I LOVED Little House on the Prairie as well as Mark of the Raven. I'm also really happy that I ended up reading three classics this month!
And I highly recommend City of Secrets for its beautiful art and compelling characters (and plot!). It's one of the best graphic novels I've ever read.
I've read most of the series but not all. I was pretty young when I read them. My dad also read them out loud to us when I was even younger.
By the way, was Symphony for the City of the Dead: Dmitri Shostakovich and the Siege of Leningrad for school or just for fun?
my friend Vanessa Hall read it and we were talking about it a lot (cuz we're both musicians) and I decided to read it cuz it sounded interesting from what she told me
Oh! That's super interesting! I think she plays violin, right? (I'm gonna be so embarrassed if it's actually viola xD)
they're hilarious!! my dad plays Viola XD so it's especially funny to show him all the viola jokes I find

My January 2022 Book Roundup:The Hobbit by J.R.R. Tolkien
Anxious for Nothing by John MacArthur
Skyward by Brandon Sanderson
The Merchant’s Daughter by Melanie Dickerson
Skyward by Brandon Sanderson was definitely my fave!!!

[bookcover:The Hobbit, or There an..."XD Yes, January turned into an exclusively "fantasy" month for me.
I only read 2 books last month. (I'm using the Goodreads app, which won't let me put in the links for books.)-"Diary of St. Maria Faustina Kowalska: Divine Mercy in My Soul"
-"The Quiet Light: A Novel About Saint Thomas Aquinas" by Louis de Wohl
These are both Catholic books. (I am Catholic, as I have already said.) I don't really know which one of them I like better. (I read a lot good books! XD)
I read 6 books in January:A Bear's Bride by Shari L. Tapscott
A Beautiful Curse by Kenley Davidson
Ruby Red by Kerstin Gier
Resistance by Jennifer A. Nielsen
A Cowboy for Keeps by Jody Hedlund
Ophelia by Lisa M. Klein
I think my favourites were A Bear's Bride and Resistance. The others were just meh.
I managed to get in a lot of reading this January!A Spindle Splintered by Alix Harrow
Prince Caspian by C.S. Lewis
Under the Whispering Door by T.J. Klune
For the Wolf by Hannah Whitten
The Blacktongue Thief by Christopher Buehlman
The Machine Stops by E.M. Forster
They're Made Out of Meat by Terry Bisson
Moonscript by H.S.J. Williams
I really liked a lot of these, but if I had to choose a favorite it'd probably be "The Blacktongue Thief." I know for sure my least favorite was "They're Made out of Meat," which was kind of funny but also super freaky XD I had to read it for work, so I had no idea what I was getting myself into lol
@Kacie, I'm so impressed that you read 27 books :O That's amazing
Rilla of Ingleside was definitely my favorite! It was a breathtaking book and the most amazing ending for the series. I was so heartbroken and joyous at the end, it was such an enjoyable read!

Oh yes Rilla is such a lovely character!

Let's do Stolen Mayfly Bride! I really want to read something by Tara Grayce, but I also want to save it!
Roadside Assistance by Amy ClipstonThe Hobbit, or There and Back Again by J.R.R. Tolkien
Resistance by Jaye L. Knight
My favorite was probably The Hobbit, but Resistance is definitely up there too!
Ooh, to those of you who have read the Ilyon Chronicles, how much would you recommend it? Is it just like great stuff or is it like phenomenal stuff?
Lilyyy wrote: "Let's do Stolen Mayfly Bride! I really want to read something by Tara Grayce, but I also want to save it!"Sounds good!

I bought the paperback of Resistance and will hopefully be able to get book two in a month or so. -The last book hasn't been published yet sooo I'll be steadily reading the series through the year, by the time I'm caught up, the last book will be out. ;D In theory anyway.
