In May, we'll be reading The Gilded Ones by Namina Forna.

This book is Forna's full-length novel debut, and it marks the beginning of a fantasy series. The story is inspired in part by Forna's West African roots. Last year, the book was nominated for a Goodreads Choice Award.

What do you think of this month's pick? What are you expecting from this book?

Christine | 142 comments High fantasy is not one of my favorite genres, but I am interested in the fact that the story was inspired by the author's West African roots.
