After that I’ll dig into random Arthur Conan Doyle, Agatha Christie and Georges Simenon (2 each)

Louise | 6 comments My TBR for March Mystery Madness 2022
I must admit I was a bit concerned about the lack of specific prompts for this year, but I seem to have been able to make it work (and it was fun making the books fit the prompts!) Thanks to everyone who posted great YouTube videos with suggestions. MMM is a favourite!
1) Two detectives = Among the Ruins by Ausma Zehanat Khan
2) Two authors = Friday on My Mind by Nicci French
3) Double letters (author) = A Cast of Falcons by Steve Burrows
4) 'Timmie's Double-double' letters = The Appeal by Janice Hallett (book & author)
5) Book published 2022 = The Maid by Nina Prose (finished)
6) 22 letters in title = The Decagon House Murders by Ayatsuji Yukito
7) 2022 has three ‘2’s = ( 2x2x2=8) = Eight Detectives by Alex Pavesi

P.S. I try to choose books from my shelves for this challenge. I own all books except for The Maid. I do not know much about The Maid, except that it does involve a murder at a hotel, so I hope it fits the prompt.

Lisa | 32 comments My TBR for March
For the theme:Sex, Murder and a Double Latte by Kyra Davis
Other mysteries that I am in the mood for:
The Book of Candlelight by Ellery Adams
Deadly Ever After by Eva Gates
Shadows in Time by Julie McElwain

Nice selections Lisa! The Book of Candlelight counts as a double since book has a double letter and the author's name also has a double letter. Deadly Ever After also has 2 words ending in er, so you have more selections for the theme!

Awesome I hadn’t thought about all of those doubles, thanks Di!

Taleisin (Tales of a Bookwyrm) | 4 comments Wow! I'm impressed by all the plans!

My plan is a lot more low-key. I plan to read 2 books by each author as I go on.

For example, I am currently reading The Blackhouse by Peter May, so I'll read another Peter May book.

There is one exception, I just got the latest Rockton novel by Kelley Armstrong, The Deepest of Secrets, from the library so I will DEFINITELY be reading that.

Nice plan! The Deepest of Secrets has a double in the title as well as the author's name so that fits the theme as well. I hope you enjoy your reads!

Great list! Murder in Old Bombay just fits in to March Mystery Madness because it is a mystery but if you want it to fit the theme, you can say the title of the book has two words with two syllables in it ^-^

message 20: by Monique the Book Geek (last edited Mar 23, 2022 10:26AM) (new)

Monique the Book Geek (moniquethebookgeek) | 5 comments March Mystery Madness is one of my favorite things about March (my birthday month) that I look forward to every year!

I'll be reading several Jaime Jo Wright books this month, which work so well for March Mystery Madness because they are all mysteries and they all have dual timelines (for this year's 2x2/doubles theme).
The Curse of Misty Wayfair by Jaime Jo Wright Echoes Among the Stones by Jaime Jo Wright The Haunting at Bonaventure Circus by Jaime Jo Wright On the Cliffs of Foxglove Manor by Jaime Jo Wright

I'll also be reading a duology (a series with two books) that's not exactly of the mystery genre but contains mysteries. The second book in this duology was published in 2022 and has 122 pages.
The Scavenger (Hopps Town Series Book 1) by Aidan Lucid Unlucky Charm (Hopps Town Series Book 2) by Aidan Lucid

...and this novella published in 2022:
Sleep Deprived by Therese Heckenkamp

...and like Sarah, I'm hoping to read the first book in the Aggie Morton, Mystery Queen trilogy (The Body Under the Piano) for both March Mystery Madness and Middle Grade March, which happens to have two main characters shown on the cover.
The Body Under the Piano (Aggie Morton, Mystery Queen, #1) by Marthe Jocelyn
