Though Spark was Scottish there's not really anything in this which would indicate that.

I read this book (by a half -Scottish, half-Nigerian author) for review in a magazine (ParSec) so will not be publishing my thoughts here or elsewhere until some while after that appears.

Margaret Oliphant was Scottish but spent most of her life in England and wrote mostly about English town life.

A magnificent non-fiction book celebrating Greig's respect for poet Norman MacCaig, the scenery of Assynt, the joys of fishing all mixed in with reflections on Greig's life.

The author is, I believe, not Scottish but the book is set on a Scottish island.
