Braking Day by Adam Oyebanji.

I read this book (by a half -Scottish, half-Nigerian author) for review in a magazine (ParSec) so will not be publishing my thoughts here or elsewhere until some while after that appears.

Rose Nicolson by Andrew Greig. Another excellent novel from this author.

The Perpetual Curate by Mrs Oliphant.

Margaret Oliphant was Scottish but spent most of her life in England and wrote mostly about English town life.

At the Loch of the Green Corrie by Andrew Greig.
A magnificent non-fiction book celebrating Greig's respect for poet Norman MacCaig, the scenery of Assynt, the joys of fishing all mixed in with reflections on Greig's life.

Something Like Breathing by Angela Readman.

The author is, I believe, not Scottish but the book is set on a Scottish island.
