(view spoiler)[Vendetta felt the warm summer air on her face, sun shining in the sky. The trees were a vibrant green and baby birds fluttered by. Her hand was clasped around another as the couple traveled down the orchard path. Her strawberry blonde hair was undone, longer than normal. She felt Willow liked it better that way.
“I’m going to miss this view,” a masculine voice murmured. Vendetta turned her face towards Willow’s, only to see he was staring right back.
“What a flirt,” the queen snapped back, cupping his cheek with her pale hand. “I can’t say I don’t agree. You’ll be back soon enough, though.”
He nodded, eyes sparkling like the sea. It was always the sea for him, travelling to unseen lands. One day, Vendetta told herself, he’d see the Heavens. They’d explore all of that and more. Whenever she was with Willow, anything was possible.
She moved the hand holding his hand to his back, resting her head on his shoulder. They were close in height, but her heeled boots and slender body made her seem taller. Down here, she appeared so ordinary, the only angelic trait being her white wings. Still, Vendetta was easily mistaken for a dove. It was so nice to be seen for herself, not a perfect queen.
He hardened his face and she cocked her head in return. “Ven, I might not come back.”
She rolled her eyes and said, “You always might not come back. Humans are fickle, it’s always a risk. Besides, don’t think you can escape me in death.” She winked and swished her cream dress. Willow couldn’t understand. Even if he passed away, he’d always go to the Heavens. He was a kind man, kinder than any she’d ever met. Perfect.
“Still, please get over me if something goes wrong. I love you, but I don’t want to chain you down,” he said, eyes pleading. Willow had had another girl in his life once, nearly engaged, but things didn’t quite go well. Now he would always remind Vendetta that she didn’t need to be anchored to him.
“Look, let’s just have fun, Willow. If these are your last moments with me, we better make them good, right?” she asked, twirling on the orchard path. Her laugh was beautiful and charming. Even without any magic changing people’s opinions, she was enchanting in her own right.
Willow got an odd look, the one when he was planning something. That was what she loved about him. He could only be read between the lines, always doing something for a purpose. Strong, dependable.
Quick as a flash, she was spinning. “I didn’t know you could dance!” she called, feet moving into the dance she now recognized. Vendetta could most definitely dance. Time had allowed her to perfect many skills, this being one of the first she ever learned.
“The same to you, although I’m unsure what there is you can’t do,” he replied, guiding Vendetta under the peach trees.
She laughed, flapping her feathery wings so they were soaring in the sky. When she had first done this, Willow had been terrified. He would kick his legs and squirm, but now it was as if he had wings himself. When the movements became slower, matching the tempo of the wind, Vendetta murmured, “There are some things I can’t do. I can’t be like you, no matter how hard I try.” She wasn’t referring to only Willow. She meant humans in general. So carefree, so ready for life. He had the youthfulness she longed for.
“You don’t have to be me,” he said, hand resting on her back. “Just be yourself.”
They continued to dance until Willow’s mortal body fell weak. She carried him down from the sky, ivory wings surrounding him. “I love you,” she whispered.
Those were the last words she ever said to him again. (hide spoiler)]

Anastasia had just finished lighting the candles. She would soon attempt at summoning Him, summoning the one she worshipped so dearly. She sat down in front of the circle and looked at the pentagram that the candles circled. She pressed her feet together, bowed her head and clasped her hands together. This moment had to be perfect. "This moment will be ours, my lord," she whispered into a candle. A serious expression claimed Anastasia's face. She chanted a series of phrases and blessings, praying and expressing her feelings. Once she finished her message she sat for thirteen minutes, blew out the candles, and sat for six more minutes. She did this every time she worshipped her God, as the numbers 13 and 6 were precious. Blowing out the candles prevented her from just sitting for 19 minutes instead of 13 and 6.
"I thank you for your time," said she, "I'll leave you be now." Anastasia flopped onto her bed, grabbing the book that bounced into the air when she did so. Right when she opened the book, the room began to shake as if it were having a seizure. The pentagram glowed pink and the candles lit themselves again. A gust of wind filled the room, Anastasia's thick, black hair dancing around in excitement. Anastasia dropped the book and slowly crept towards the pentagram. Everything went white for a split second, and Anastasia was blinded.
"Woah, is this the human realm? I haven't been here in like, foreeeeeeever!" said a high pitched masculine voice.
"Are you... my god?" Anastasia asked, cautiously approaching the cloud of mist that the voice came from.
"I don't consider myself a god, but there are plenty of people that worship me~" the silhouette of the man appeared to hug himself. Anastasia crept a little closer and waved the mist away quickly. She could finally see the person who was speaking to her. He had wavy light pinkish blonde hair and amber eyes that made Anastasia's soul melt.
"You don't look like a god to me," she stated coldly and suspiciously.
"Cus I'm not one! I'm Astrophel Hemlock, but please, call me Astro. Hiya!" the man was shockingly energetic. Anastasia stood still, trying to comprehend why exactly Astrophel was summoned instead of her lord. "Aren't you going to introduce yourself?" Astrophel asked.
"Anastasia Batair, a vampire bat and the daughter of the bat queen." Anastasia bowed formally as she introduced herself.
"Ooh, a princess~. Seeing as we'll be bound together for the rest of our lives, is there something you wanna do?" Astro bounced towards Anastasia and twirled her around, observing her appearance.
"For the rest of our lives?!" Anastasia's eyes widened.
"Yeah..? You summoned me with the intention of us never parting, is that correct?" Astrophel raised an eyebrow.
"I didn't summon you, I summoned my lord."
"And sometimes the system gets confused. Either way, you're stuck with me. FOREVERRRRRRRRRRRRRR!" Astrophel screamed, leaning backwards as he did so.
"I regret living." Anastasia frowned, turning around and flopping into bed. Astrophel leaned against her back and laughed.
"I'm sure we'll have lots of," Astro paused to laugh, "fun together~~" (hide spoiler)]
