Half a Soul - Olivia Atwater - 5 stars This was a fun story to follow through a fanciful imagining of Regency England. I found myself laughing and celebrating alongside the characters' revelations and I will probably continue the series at some point.
Machiavelli for Women by Stacy Vanek SmithFinished my first audiobook today- had a couple of prompts to read one in this format- so I wanted to make sure it was a good one and boy was I surprised!
I listened to it during a 9 hour road trip and I learned so much. It was so insightful and I enjoyed listening to this new perspective about women in the workplace and will be applying some of the tips in my own career.
Some things that stood out for me personally:
When negotiating salaries- women typically think about what they need while men usually think about their market worth.
Men are likely to apply for a job when they are at least 60% qualified while women will usually try and find those they are 100% qualified.
Opposites Attract by Camilla IsleyThis is my first ever audio book. The narrator Amy McFadden did a fantastic job. This book was so well written/narrated!!! I could literally visualize each chapter as a scene in a fabulous romantic comedy! I laughed out loud so many times.
5/5
I just finished listening to Fairy Tale for this square.I have read pretty much all of Stephen King's books and enjoyed every single one of them. This book is no exception. It's not one of my favourites by King but I still enjoyed the story very much.
I gave this book 4*
