Our first book for discussion will be Boneshaker by Cherie Priest. Let us know what you think about the plot, characters and how well you think the Steampunk genre was used in this story.

MadMaxx (MaddMax) | 2 comments Hah, this is crazy, i looked Boneshaker and i looked at Nimbus: A Steampunk Novel. I am just starting Nimbus, kinda wish i choose Boneshaker. I just finish The 2nd Realm but i can put off Nimbus and jump on Boneshaker so i can join in the discussion.

Rok (RokD) | 1 comments I just finished this book and i have mixed feeling, i left a review on the books page but this is a cool group and i want to say different things but the same. For those of you who have not read this yet i will try not to give things away, "Try". I probably won't give too much away, LOL
So the time period is civil war era, and they want to drill in Alaska. They make the steampunk mechanisms to the tech in the book so that was good enough for me and then they test the drill. Now this is all in Seattle and when they drill gas is released and BAM people start turning into zombies. now thats all i'm gonna say being that i am the first to type away here, but i over all enjoyed the story, i do like zombies and steampunk, but i just wanted more zombie fighting and action. I also though that without it the book went on too long, it was like 400+ pages on my kindle and i usually don't go for those long ones but i did on this, so hey it kept my interest enough to finish. now lets see how well i retained all of that with the rest of you guys, LOL
