Does anyone know where to find a really good study book or books about the ministry of the 12 Apostles?

Well, I'm reading two books on the book of Acts right now which cover that: Acts: An Expositional Commentary by RC Sproul and Acts by Craig Keener. Beyond that, the Apostolic Fathers by JB Lightfoot covers the men who took over from the apostles (AD 90-250). But I think any NT book study after the gospels should be part of the study you are looking for.
The only book I've actually read (way back in the early 70s) that focuses on the twelve apostles is The Search for the Twelve Apostles by William Steuart McBirnie. He devotes a chapter to each one; but as I recall (since the New Testament itself doesn't say much about the later ministries of most of these men) in most cases he draws much of his material from legends and church traditions.

An Expositional Commentary sounds like more of what I'm looking for. Thanks for the recommendations and your time.
