Hi--does anyone have any interest in trying to go to this event? Tickets come with a copy of the book. http://www.harvard.com/event/kazuo_is...

Loretta, this event looks so great. I'm from Boston and love Harvard bookstore, but I'm living in Japan now so can't make it (obviously!). Interesting that they are charging for access. Have they done this before? I guess with a huge name like Ishiguro they need to have some way to limit the size. Anyway, Hope you have a great time if you go!
Hi Tracy--yeah, they seem to charge now. It's $5 access if you don't want the book, but then they add the cost of the book if you want it. They did that with the Amy Poehler event for Yes Please as well.I did buy a ticket, but have been hoping to find someone to join me.
Hi Loretta,
I was hoping to go, but it's a "Mom's Taxi" kind of day and night on Saturday, so I can't.
Harvard Bookstore charges to recoup the cost of space rental, which is necessary since many don't buy the book at the event. I think it's a fair deal that way.

Would you believe that something came up? :( The signed copy of the book is actually waiting for me at Harvard Book Store--you've reminded me that I need to trek out there this weekend to pick it up.
