Tom | 26 comments I'm a big fan of Stephen King, but I've never read his first book, although I have seen the film. Looking forward to finally reading it.

Kelsey Solnick | 12 comments I also saw both movies before reading the book. I read the book about a year or so ago, and I really enjoyed it. I hope you do as well!

Francesca | 391 comments I read this book for the first time about 4 years ago (I somehow managed not to see the movie first and the new movie hadn't come out yet) and I absolutely fell in love with it and it introduced me to my now favourite author, Stephen King. It's one of my all time favourite books and I think it's fantastic.

Also, while I did enjoy both movies (I actually liked the new one more than the old one) I didn't think either managed to fully convey all the emotions that the book does. Obviously that is a very hard thing for movies to do and I can fully appreciate that movies are a different form of media and therefore will be different!

Anyway, I've rambled on a bit but I hope you enjoy the book!

Bana AZ (anabana_a) | 414 comments I saw the first movie, read the book, and saw the second movie. I loved all of it, and hope you'll like this one. :)

Jasmine (pikakejazz) I was thinking of reading this one for Week 15, too!!

Emily Tillis | 24 comments Just finished this one and loved it! I have never seen either movie and was surprised by a few things in the book. I think this should be required reading in school

Renata Drummond (23drummond) | 30 comments I read Carrie when I was 15, it's a great choice! Didn't know it was King's first novel though. Have fun ;)

Adriana Pereira (adrianacecilia) I've started reading it today for this week. I'm at page 59 at the moment and I'm really enjoying it!

Adriana Pereira (adrianacecilia) Well, I finished it this afternoon. What a page turner, I really couldn't put it down!

I really enjoyed. It wasn't particularly scary but... (view spoiler). You can see my review here.
It was my second book by Stephen King, I'm officially hooked!

Jennifer Barstad (maidenoflight) I read this book as well. I have seen the original movie, but preferred the book more. The only thing I didn't care for in the book was the constant jumping around.
