I'm a big fan of Stephen King, but I've never read his first book, although I have seen the film. Looking forward to finally reading it.

I also saw both movies before reading the book. I read the book about a year or so ago, and I really enjoyed it. I hope you do as well!
I read this book for the first time about 4 years ago (I somehow managed not to see the movie first and the new movie hadn't come out yet) and I absolutely fell in love with it and it introduced me to my now favourite author, Stephen King. It's one of my all time favourite books and I think it's fantastic. Also, while I did enjoy both movies (I actually liked the new one more than the old one) I didn't think either managed to fully convey all the emotions that the book does. Obviously that is a very hard thing for movies to do and I can fully appreciate that movies are a different form of media and therefore will be different!
Anyway, I've rambled on a bit but I hope you enjoy the book!
I saw the first movie, read the book, and saw the second movie. I loved all of it, and hope you'll like this one. :)
Just finished this one and loved it! I have never seen either movie and was surprised by a few things in the book. I think this should be required reading in school
I read Carrie when I was 15, it's a great choice! Didn't know it was King's first novel though. Have fun ;)
I've started reading it today for this week. I'm at page 59 at the moment and I'm really enjoying it!
Well, I finished it this afternoon. What a page turner, I really couldn't put it down!I really enjoyed. It wasn't particularly scary but... (view spoiler). You can see my review here.
It was my second book by Stephen King, I'm officially hooked!
