The second to last book of the John Cleaver series was very slow and uneventful.

After reading the first book or two, it left me with such high hopes for the rest of the series. Unfortunately The books didn't keep up the hype. The first two hundred pages were just about Brooke (if you want to say that I guess) and John traveling around doing hitchhiker things. Which fair enough it's something the characters have to do, but it could've moved a lot faster than what was done. I can understand a journey to discover characters and their personalities but these characters are already established and they don't need that long of a character personality discovery.

The last hundred were where the story really took place but even then it wasn't all that exciting. I typically know how much I didn't like a book based on how long it took me to read it and this one should've taken two-ish days, but it was almost a week for only three hundred pages. Just for a book that is supposed to be about a boy that is obsessed with serial killers, it wasn't fast paced or exhilarating like expected.

Another thing that really bothered me was (view spoiler)

To round this up, of course I'll read the final book I am not a person who can stop reading the series or book because it is rough.
