Hi!
I got distracted by life and other books I was finishing. I am about 30 pages in so far, and plan to get into it this weekend.

I have to say the first chapter was confusing, but I think I have it sorted out. Not sure what to think yet.

And, happy Friday to all!

I am up to chapter 21. So far, I am reservedly liking this. It is a sad story of surviving abuse. I am selfishly happy to say that I didn't have to deal with that as a child. Blyth's voice, and Cecelia's are therefore not something I can relate to, but they are pretty compelling.
(view spoiler)[The opening chapter with the lack of names and pronouns was confusing. But, this far into the books it is clear that Blyth does something to Violet (or at least Fox thinks she does), and she is no longer part of the family. I am very interested in what leads to that opening scene. (hide spoiler)]

I am definitely invested enough to want to keep going, but I am trying to make it last until after the Uno mini starts.

I think it is a pretty good window into (view spoiler)[the doubts that new mothers have about whether they are doing anything right, or feeling the right feelings. I don't have kids, but having talked to friends and family who do, this part seems pretty accurate. (hide spoiler)]
