They are women who are struggling in the country of Afghanistan. It's a heartbreaking story about friendships between two women who are brought together in Kabul.

They both have suffered losses and go through a mental toil in their war-torn neighborhood. Laila had to seek shelter after losing her family and Mariam had to choose between staying inferior under the man she was forced to marry or protecting the people she loves.
