Apologies if this constitutes a spoiler, but why bother expanding the selections only to focus entirely on mystery/crime novels? Out of the 7 new selections this month, 5 are in the mystery or true crime thriller universe. I know these are hugely popular genres with others, but I'm not a big fan of either so I'm left feeling frustrated by the selections. I thought part of the point of this might be to expand their diversity and offerings and maybe do some more experimental or risky choices, but this all feels very uninteresting to me.

I'm excited for this month. I thought quite a few months were Contemporary/Romance heavy and/or Literary Fiction mainly. I'm excited for a good month, even if I'd already preordered a few of them. There were a few months I, too, chose light or skipped all together.I think we'll see a good mix, this was just a heavy month for these mysteries and at least 2 are repeat authors (Lucy Foley and Simone St. James).
