Our book club pick for March was You've Reached Sam by Dustin Thao.

This month, our discussion prompts were written by a staff member. If you would like to use them to get your discussion going, please do, but remember that they are not required!

1. The novel is told in a mix of present-day and flashbacks. What did you think of this narrative style?

2. Discuss Sam and Julie’s relationship. How did it change over the course of the novel?

3. Describe how Julie use her phone contact with Sam to process her grief over his death.

4. Second chances are an important theme throughout the novel as Julie is offered a second chance to say goodbye to Sam. If offered the opportunity, would you like a second chance to say goodbye to a loved one?

5. Describe Julie as a character. Did you think she was a likable or relatable character?
