Ryu let out a contented sigh as he lifted his helmet up and set it on the ground. His eyes scanning the area for anyone else. Good. Alone. He dropped the tunic to the ground, stepping into the water and splashing his face quietly.

Leave him alone my ass.. Laen grumbled to himself, hidden behind a tree and in a cluster of bushes, watching the other. A good pet never left his master's side, one of the key rules he'd been taught growing up. His eyes widened when the man took off his mask and looked amazingly...human. He was definitely something else, with an ethereal look to him, too handsome to be something spawned by any mortal in this day and age.
He sat down in the water, closing his eyes and letting his head fall back as he absorbed the heat. He rolled his shoulders, yawning. He rarely came to the hot springs, mostly because it was usually crowded, but today, it seemed empty.
Seemed empty. His tail swished playfully, and he couldn't help the giggle that escaped him. He climbed up a tree, padding out on the limb to watch the other more closely when, with a loud crack, it gave out and dropped him straight into the water. He screeched of course, tail poofing just before he fell in with a loud splash, quickly scrambling out and hiding back behind the bushes once more, though his frantic scrambling and yelling had definitely got him seen, he knew he'd be in trouble.
Ryu gasped, pulling his now clean helmet out of the water, placing it on his head and wrapping the tunic around his waist. He glared at the bush, "Do you play me for a fool? I know you're there" he said as he glared at it.
He tensed, shying back a moment, before hesitantly crawling out, very wet, miserable, and very guilty looking. "I just wanted to play!...I don't like being alone a-and I was always taught to never leave my master's side, even if they say so...just encase you need me." He mumbled. He knew he was going to get reprimanded, ears lowered, tail drooping.
Ryu blinked. This guy again. However, he didn't scorn him. Loyalty was definitely an attribute worth encouraging... He shook his head slowly, "You're all wet now." he muttered, "Idiot" he added quietly.
He flattened his ears again, nodding. "I-I'm sorry master...I didn't mean to upset.." He paused, trying to hatch up a compliment to hopefully please him. "Y-you look very nice without your helmet, sir." He mumbled, shaking his head to get the water out of his ears. He shivered slightly, but stayed still, submissive until told not to be.
Ryu glared away, "Quit calling me master. I'm not master. I'm Ryu." he replied, throwing his sword over his shoulder. He didn't know what to say, he wasn't good with social contact.
He smiled slightly, showing his fangs, and sat back on his haunches, perking his ears up curiously. "Ryu...I like that name." He nodded. "My name's Laen. And I think you're nice."
Ryu blinked. Nice? he thought. He was at a loss for words. He stared down, "Whatever. I don't care. Go get dried off or something" he demanded.
He blinked. "...dry off with what?" He murmured timidly, flopping down int he grass to try and rid himself of water, which wasn't working too well.
He tensed at the demand, slinking closer to the other, slowly sliding into arm's reach and standing up now, looking at his feet. "Yes?"
He grabbed his hand and pulled him into a hug. His arms warm, and dry. Hopefully it'd be enough to warm Laen, considering they didn't really have any other form of material to dry him off with.
He blinked, his eyes widening slightly, and he couldn't help but purr weakly at the warmth, snuggling into his chest to try and get more, his shivers growing less and less as he felt better, but he didn't wish to pull away.
Ryu was staring away, feeling a rather familiar emotion. but only just a faint hint of it as he watched the water slowly evaporate off of Laen's clothing, an effect of Ryu's influence.
His ears perked up, swiveling around to take in his surroundings whilst his eyes were closed, tail lazily swaying back and forth. He could honestly sit in the nice warmth forever. His mas- Ryu smelled like a bunch of things he couldn't quite put a finger on, but they were rather pleasant, for someone who smelled like infected. Maybe it was just him.
Ryu pulld back, "Are you done now?" he mumbled quietly. His eyes hidden beneath the helmet, but scanning the creature in front of him with blank eyes.
He whined reluctantly, but didn't wish to overstay his welcome, nodding. "Yes, thank you Ryu!" He smiled brightly, backing off to give the other room. He missed his warmth, though he wouldn't say so out loud.
He rolled his eyes, glancing away, "Were you following me?" he muttered, tracing an X on the ground with the edge of his sword.
He grinned, lifting his chin pridefully and swishing his tail. He had, after all, following Ryu without the other knowing. "Yup!"
He blinked, clenching his teeth, "You annoy me" he said simply, meaning to say, thats annoying. But he supposed it came out wrong.
He smirked, tail lashing. "I get that a lot...sorry for interrupting your bath, Mr. Ryu." He murmured, twisting the hem of his shirt in his hands.
He furrowed his brows, tilting his head to one side and blinking once, slowly, mind working to try and figure out what may be bugging his master. "Wanna play hide and seek?"
"Hide.. and seek?" he asked, never having heard of such a terribly named game. He was the horseman of famine. He didn't really care about silly children's games.
He grinned. "Oh it's great you'll love it! Okay I cover my eyes and count to ten, and then you hide, and then I try to find you! Got it?" He murmured, bouncing up and down on the balls of his feet.
"Nine...Ten!" He yelled, looking up and, to his surprise, was unable to see Ryu immediately. He paused, sniffing the air twice, before bounding around. "Ready or not here I come!" He called, searching through bushes before starting towards the tree.
The sides of Ryu's helmets sort of stuck out, which was kind of annoying, but he wasn't taking it off.
He quickly spotted him, his grin widening, and he crouched, rolling his shoulders, and stalked closer, before springing up with a growl and pouncing on him. "Ha! Found you!"
"You found me. Now what?" he demanded. He blinked once he realized he was being loud. He sighed quietly.
<< I was thinking that Ryu could fall in love with Laen, but know how to say it... And eventually Laen starts to notice >>

((That sounds adorable xP I'm in :) ))Laen tilted his head curiously. "Then we switch. Now I hide, and you count."
He blinked, standing and blinking when his helmet hit a tree branch and he fell back down, "Fuck" he said simply, blushing crazily. God, he was so stupid.
He started to get up, but laughed as Ryu fell, quickly scrambling to his feet and taking the other's hands, pulling him up and maneuvering him away from the tree. "You know, it'd be easier without that helmet."
He blinked, thinking about it a little more deeply before sighing. "If you dare tell anyone about what I look like, I shall remove your skin privelages" he growled.
He blinked, taken aback, but nodded, crossing his heart. "A loyal servant never tells their master's secrets." He murmured, smiling brilliantly.
He sighed, slowly lifting the helmet up and placing it on the ground, running a hand through his messy red hair.
