One thing you can do for National Reading month is participate in the monthly reading challenge.
National Umbrella Month. This is the display/monthly challenge we are doing. Prepare for Spring showers during March by reading five books featuring umbrellas in their title, on their cover, or as their subject matter, and be entered into a drawing for a classic wood handle black umbrella.
The Art House's Annual Blue Dog show has returned to the library lobby. Stop by during library hours during the month of March to celebrate our local talent!
The Lincoln Parish Library will host Amanda Roberts, a renowned musician and winner of the 2017 National Hammer Dulcimer Championship. The Hammered Dulcimer is a percussion-stringed instrument with strings stretched over a trapezoidal resonant soundboard and is played by being struck with handheld hammers. This is unique instrument is quite the treat to hear in person! Roberts will be accompanied by percussionist Lady Chops, Elizabeth Vidos, who has performed Off-Broadway with STOMP for 10 years. Together, they bring live music to LPL originating from the countries of Ireland, Scotland and Wales in celebration of St. Patrick's Day. Families are invited to enjoy this fun celebration at the Lincoln Parish Library Events Center on March 19 at 2 p.m.
Free Yoga Get ready for community yoga with Stacie Austin this weekend at Lincoln Parish Library! This Free Community Yoga Series is for beginners to learn the basics! Bring a yoga mat and a friend!
The Art and Life of Don Cincone March is another great month for art and literature at the Lincoln Parish Library. Lincoln Parish Library is proud to host international artist Don Cincone and local artists Daryl Triplett and Larry Holston, Sr. Commissioned by Universal Studios to create 85 original paintings and drawings for the 1965 major motion picture, "The Art of Love."
Cincone has been a professional artist for over 50 years. Artwork from these three talented creators can be viewed in the Chautauqua Gallery through March during regular Library hours. Meet the artists on March 12 at 2 p.m. for a reception in the Library Events Center.
Cincone will return to the library on March 26 at 10:30 a.m. for a book signing featuring his memoir, "Time Was Not My Burden."
TAB( Teen Advisory Board) Reach out to Kris in the teens department to ask or sign up for TAB 318-513-5518 or Teens@mylpl.org TAB meets every first Monday of the month to meet. This month is March 7, 2022 at 4pm in the Board Room. If you want your teen or you know a teen who would be interested, let Kris know.

BUNNY MANIA!! Rabbit Display Scavenger Hunt! Kids come see the rabbit display, pick up a scavenger hunt guide, and look for all the bunnies and their friends pictured inside. Complete it and place it in the BUNNY BOX to be entered in a special drawing after Easter!
