I know right! Valek is, like, 14 years older than Yelena. Probably why many people didn't think he could be the love interest of the study series.

We have a discussion about the age difference in 'discussion' most of us think age doesnt matter in love :)

I know, I've commented in that discussion and yet I'm still surprised about the age difference... how does that even make sense!

What I love about this timeline is noticing Yelena is growing up with me. Were both 27 :)

When I first read Poison Study I was just under Yelena's age in the book, but she always felt way more mature than me. I was reading this book under the desk at school and she was off having dangerous adventures. I was snoozing under the desk at school and she was snuggling up to Valek on those rare occasions they actually get to be together.
(btw I did actually sleep under desks at school, thats no a euphemism)
