Freak the Mighty discussion

Freak the Mighty was one of the best books I've read this year for many reasons. This young adult fiction explained how kids who are different can achieve so much, and that I really enjoyed. Freak (Kevin) meets a boy named max who becomes his best friend and together they build a strong bond and face important challenges. Max and Freak both have big family issues which I think is a big part of their bond. Throughout the book, Max and Freak go on great adventures and face the dark side of life at such a young age but stay close together in the process. I really loved how they show the strong friendship between the two boys and show how much it is worth between any 2 people. I could read books like this forever and it's safe to say I'm not a heavy reader. I recommend this book for people who are interested in exciting yet sorrowful stories.
