Sing 2 produced by Illumination is an animated movie released in late December of 2021. It is a comedy and musical film rated PG. I watched this film in January with my mom when we saw it was available to watch from home. We were both very excited to watch the sequel of one of our favorite movies! Sing 2 follows the same characters from Sing. Buster Moon, the fuzzy koala, is always looking for opportunities for his group of talented animal singers to perform and become famous. Buster successfully gets the animals to be able to perform an extravagant show in a very famous and notable venue. However, there is one problem; the animals have to first write the show and build the set in a very short time. They also have to attempt to fulfill almost impossible promises they made. The group has many successes and many dangerous failures. They keep trying no matter their result and are determined to finish this show and become household names. This movie provides many laughs and grins! Its ridiculous situations and animations pack an abundance of comedy relief. Usually, I don’t particularly enjoy watching animated movies, but this was the exception. The characters and places were so detailed, adorable, and spectacular; I couldn’t look away. Besides the comedy, the film also has you on the edge of your set at some point worrying about the trouble the animals might have gotten into; it does also has an element of sadness about a character losing a loved one. There are many catchy songs in the movie that showcase how talented the singers are. The music was fantastic. Overall, this movie keeps viewers entertained by the animation, jokes, suspense, successes, failures, and plot. In my opinion, the movie is 4.7/5 stars. It’s definitely one of my favorites!
