When I was a small child circa 1968, I read an illustrated fictional book about a cat who kept getting reincarnated in different historical eras. As I recall, each chapter ended with the cat’s death, with the next chapter beginning with him starting his new life. I think it must have been a reasonably recent publication. It was meant for children. Unfortunately, that’s all I can remember about it.
