The Awakening question

Hey guys, I’m looking for this short story my AP-Lit class read in 2020. It was about a mother who has severe depression and decides to distance herself from her son and husband more and more over many years. She stays in her room and just sits at the window and contemplates. One day while the husband and son are out, she bakes a bunch of bread and knits many blankets. She cleans the whole house and does all the laundry. And then she kills herself. But because she distanced herself from her son to the point where he barely knows her, he isn’t that upset by it. It’s a very sad story but it would mean a lot to me to find it and read it again. It’s not The Awakening.
