I really enjoyed The House of the Spirits Nichole.
Are you reading Bleak House with the Dickens group too? I've fallen way behind - I'm on vacation with my nephew for his spring break right now. But I'll catch up eventually! :D
So... I have to see what my Book Game will come up with for a theme, but so far the plan is:House of Sky and Breath (one review said it's porn with a plot 😄 🥳 )

The House of the Spirits was that good? I remember it was popular in its day. I might just skip all the other books and open that one instead.

Oh I've read the whole series. I just wanted to read them again. Anyway, you're friend has good taste; I'd recommend them as well. It's mu favorite fantasy series.
