Sounds like fun. I’ve checked out the book from library and hoping to start it in the next couple of days.

I will be starting the first book on Monday if you're up for it or to wait as I kinda want to read them in order if I can :)
Will you post a list of the first few books so we can be rounding them up if our library doesn't have them? I'll be starting the first one tomorrow.
Sounds good! The rough schedule I had in mind was as follows (I also updated the first message to reflect this):April 1-10 - The Mysterious Affair at Styles
April 11-20 - The Murder on the Links
April 21-30 - Poirot Investigates
May 1-10 - The Murder of Roger Ackroyd
May 11-20 - The Big Four
May 21-31 - The Mystery of the Blue Train
Please let me know, do you think 10 days is enough to read each book? Should we do 2 per month only? And should I be opening separate topics for each book, or keep all of our comments here in this thread?
2 a month is all I can handle. For me, it's easier to keep up with discussions if they're separate or at least a separate topic for each month.

Okay with me.
Love this! I was trying to read them in order and finished The Mysterious Affair at Styles recently. I'll start with the next one! Woohoo!
Poirot Investigates is a collection of short stories??? Just throwing this out here, but would it be easier to discuss the various plots if it was given its own discussion topic?

We can do our spoilers though, like "For poirot's story "the X of X" I thought ". What do we think?
Hi all - we are 2 days away from starting our May reads for Agatha Christie's saga. First book for May is Poirot Investigates a collection of short Poirot stories!
Hi all - we are 3 days away from starting our May reads for Agatha Christie's saga.Second book for May is The Murder of Roger Ackroyd, considered one of her best works!
Hi guys,I can't believe I missed this post. I've been thinking of reading my Christie books this year. I was planning on starting with her short story collections which I've never read and then move onto her more well-known body of work..
I'm a couple of books behind (April, of course) but I'll catch up. Better late than never!
I started, finished, and LOVED this book. That's what I am looking for, that is why I love AC! This book was epic!

Love it too. This is one of the best in my opinion.

Hi all - we will be reading our first "independent" Agatha Christie book starting June 1st to June 15th. Strap in and get ready for And Then There Were None
Finished The Murder of Roger Ackroyd last night. I started reading Christie at 11 (when I finally got a library card to the "Grown up" section) and was certain that I had read it. Seems I hadn't. It was an excellent book with all the clues set out for us to see and interpret. I really enjoyed reading it and look forward to And then there were none, which I did read but under a different title.
I found the movie of Roger Ackroyd on PBS. Changed a bunch and the books is better, of course, but it's still a good movie.
This article came up on CrimeReads this morning. Thought you might like to have a look at it, seeing we're reading some of the books.https://crimereads.com/agatha-christi...
Having read several and watched all TV and movie adaptations of them, I am now (overly) ambitious to have a Poirot-esque detective feature in many books. I have just begun writing the first novel.
I've just tried reading The Mysterious Mr Quin. It wasn't a patch on Poirot. Mr Quin was Christie's favourite character too - The first of Christie's books I've been disappointed with.
