ash Heyy guys so I had an idea;
Seeing as its called madness, maybe there can be something that drives the werewolves made?
Or only one of the packs are like that?

message 2: by sucre'd fiend (new)

sucre'd fiend (sucredfiend) | 46 comments Mod
Maybe one pack?

『ᴡɪᴄᴋʟɪɴɢ ᴛʀᴀsʜ ● ɢᴏᴏᴅʙʏᴇ』 (wickling) | 8 comments Mod
The thing that drives them mad could be a virus?

message 4: by ash (new)

ash Maybe one pack would be better.

And what kind a Virus?

『ᴡɪᴄᴋʟɪɴɢ ᴛʀᴀsʜ ● ɢᴏᴏᴅʙʏᴇ』 (wickling) | 8 comments Mod
Something akin to rabies, perhaps?

message 6: by Lyndsey (new)

Lyndsey Are we going for a modern society, or a medevil sort of feel?

If it's modern, perhaps as Wulfie suggested, a sort of virus/rabies would work. Though, I feel like that idea has been somewhat overused.

Just something to toy with, but maybe their madness derives from something on a grander scale? Take rabies, and mash it with nature. The moon is a big symbol of the werewolves change, perhaps it could be incorporated somehow. A werewolf born under the full moon, (or like Res imagined), blood moon would be born mad.

message 7: by ash (new)

ash Perhaps the moon can make then be the reason they go mad? I kinda like that idea.

Should they only shift during the full moon? Or whenever?

message 8: by Lyndsey (new)

Lyndsey So like, the werewolves would only be able to shift under a full moon. The blood wolves could shift anywhere, anytime. That I think would make them seem more off to everyone, mostly because they'd be more dangerous than just an average werewolf.

message 9: by ash (new)

ash I feel it! I really like that lol :) so there are blood wolves and children on the moon?
Werewolves, also called Children of the Moon, are creatures that only transform during full moons. However, they aren't killed by silver bullets. They also don't travel in packs, but the shapeshifters do?

Shapeshifters would be the Quileutes? Their eldest shapeshifting ancestor simply chose the wolf form. That is why every descendent after that has become a wolf. See, if the elder had chosen, say, a hawk, then the rest would most likely have become hawks.

Quileute the Native American tribe?

So...Werewolves=Lycanthrope, Shifters=Therianthrope?

message 11: by ash (new)

ash Yes, as the native Americans

message 12: by Lyndsey (new)

Lyndsey Perfect!

Maybe there's some form of aggression between the two kinds of werewolves? The blood wolves, aka, Therianthrope, and the children of the moon?

I like the history too.

message 13: by sucre'd fiend (new)

sucre'd fiend (sucredfiend) | 46 comments Mod
Ah, that makes sense; I like it.

message 14: by ash (new)

ash What would the aggression be towards? Jealousy maybe?
And I'm glad you guys like it ^_^

Blood wolves are the ones that are crazy, right? Shifters shift into any animal?

message 16: by Lyndsey (new)

Lyndsey Yeah!

What if instead of jealousy, it was fear? The werewolves would ready be nervous of their transformation come the full moon, however blood wolves (the crazies) would embrase their curse with open arms.

This came to mind:
Werewolf - more man than beast
Blood wolf - more of the wolf, than the man

Blood wolves would basically be pretty unstable in this case, and if they traveled in packs, it might wreck havok on whereever they decided to hit the hardest.
The werewolves would fear the blood wolves, because they wouldn't understand the feeling of embrasing ones paranormal nature.

This wouldn't make one better than the other, wuite the contrary. In fact, it would just mean that the blood wolves are much less in control of themselves than the moon wolves despite the fact that they have the abilty to change at will.

Make any sense? Or is this a bit weird?

Were do the shifters come into play?

message 18: by Lyndsey (new)

Lyndsey Shifters?

message 19: by ash (new)

ash The only shifters would be the wolves because I kind of want this just to be about wolves

And that's perfect Lyndsy! I love it!

- So the Quileutes are just their ancestors?

message 29: by Lyndsey (new)

Lyndsey Found a cool picture that reminds me of the group:

And Wulfie, from what I understand the Quileutes are the blood wolves ancestors who chose to become wolves at will. I suppose if you look at it another way, the blood wolves are still a Quileute cuz hey stick together in a pack.

(Whereas moon wolves don't)

Correct me if I'm wrong Ash ^^

Pretty much yes, should there be more?

I like that picture! You can add it in the group pics if you want ^\^

And yeah, that's correct

message 32: by Lyndsey (new)

Lyndsey Okay!

message 33: by ash (new)

ash So what year should this to take place?

message 34: by sucre'd fiend (new)

sucre'd fiend (sucredfiend) | 46 comments Mod
I feel like most shifter groups take place in the present, so maybe some time in the past?

message 35: by Lyndsey (new)

Lyndsey I'm voting for the 20's, I think mixing modern and werewolves sounds amazing.
But, if anyone else has a preference I'm okay switching ^^

message 36: by ash (new)

ash How far in the past fiend?

message 37: by ash (new)

ash I also agree there is a lot of modern day rp.
The past sounds good

What about future?
We can do something like America was taken over by whom ever?
And time kinda back tracked? Like its the future but it seems less civil?
Or Is that too confusing?

message 38: by Lyndsey (last edited Feb 19, 2015 11:58AM) (new)

Lyndsey Yeah, Fiend's right. Modern is probably pretty overused.

Future is a thought, maybe give it a prehistoric feel? A thought I had too, what about giving it an indian era feel? That might be interesting. It could be the future times, but where people generally belonged to different tribes in order to survive.

message 39: by ash (new)

ash Ohh! That sounds really interesting. Like the blood wolves can be in a tribe? So it called a tribe instead of a pack. But the werewolves don't really travel in packs. Or should they?
And should there be humans?
Other then just blood wolves and weres?

message 40: by Lyndsey (new)

Lyndsey Hmmm...
Yeah, good questions. The blood wolves would probably be in a tribe/pack. But yeah, since werewolves don't travel in packs, maybe they would just be dispersed throughout different tribes? So while a blood wolf would automatically live within the blood wolf tribe, werewolves would have the freedom of doing whatever they wanted. They could form their own pack, join another, or just strike out on their own.

message 41: by ash (new)

ash Wouldn't that kinda defeat the purpose though? Because aren't the werewolves the crazies? Or is that the blood wolves?

message 42: by Lyndsey (new)

Lyndsey Blood wolves are the crazy ones, but yeah... Maybe it wont work... It just wouldn't add up with what we have so far.
So, maybe scratch the indian/tribe thingy ^^

Were you thinking futuristic, or apocalypse sort if feel?

message 43: by sucre'd fiend (new)

sucre'd fiend (sucredfiend) | 46 comments Mod
Maybe like late 1800s?

message 44: by ash (new)

ash 1800 sounds good
Is everyone okay with doing the past?

message 45: by Lyndsey (new)

Lyndsey Yep! Sounds great!

message 46: by ash (new)

ash okay cool :)

message 48: by ash (new)

ash

LOL. I'm not making fun I swear! Its just whenever I see someone say alright then I always see them saying it like that ;P

message 49: by Lyndsey (new)

Lyndsey Okay so, 1800's was the era of the woman's suffragist and civil rights? (At least in america... not sure where you guys are all from ^^)

message 50: by sucre'd fiend (new)

sucre'd fiend (sucredfiend) | 46 comments Mod
Well, since we're doing the late 1800s, yes. Women's Suffrage was more along the lines of the early 1900s.
