Ex Occidente and Zagava published 7 or so titles years ago. Zagava has stood on its own for a while now and publishes some gorgeous books… the writing contained therein is outstanding. Jonas, who owns Zagava, is a lovely chap, I have bought books from the press directly, always a positive experience.

I've also bought books from both. I think Ex Occidente no longer produces but Zagava, which features a number of the same writers, is still quite in action. Recently bought a chapbook by Louis Marvick from them. Responsive owner as well, I love that.

Ex occidente is still publishing just under the Mount abraxas imprint… or maybe they are just called Mount Abraxas… who knows.

The books are from Ex Occ or Zagava are just as lovely, but I would agree with Randolph that the market for centipede Press is much stronger… then again these are much different presses with different target audiences. I think Ex Occ and Zag are a bit more niche.

God… I hope you didn’t sell your stuff on eBay Randolph, they take 14.5% off the top… and that doesn’t include the 3.5% that PayPal takes.

Sadly, other than TLO, there isn't an active site for ex Occ or Zagava to hawk your wares to. You may want to try the small press limited book collectors FB group... there is a large crowd there. For CP, there is a very active crowd at Centipede Press Collector's group on FB. Lots of folks droping ISO for this or that. You may already be aware of these groups to sell your stuff to.

ebay does still use paypal. I just used it the other day... =)
And yes... I heard that ebay and other sites like Abe send out those 1099's. I'm wondering if that might be the impetus that we are seeing more and more offline private deals between collectors happening... ; )

I still find a good deal or two on ebay... but its a rare thing now a days. I subscribe to the same practices as you Randolph, I primarily buy directly from the publishers or other collectors.

Speaking of large and bulky, you get any of those Masters of the Weird Tale by CP? They just published a Stephen Grabinski MoWT.

I have the Arthur J Burks one. Still unread. Not sure why there had to be 2 lines, Masters & Library, but the Masters edition is, I assume, worth more due to slipcase. I prefer the size of the Library editions though, easier to read.

The Library series are for the folks that couldn’t get the MoWT… it’s much less expensive but usually has less content, fewer illustrations… none of the bells and whistles… =)

The MoWT’s usually sell out same day they hit the market. The Grabinski was sold out in an hour and a half on Sunday.
