Netflix aired a show about disturbing roommate situations. It was very useful information as I am a senior is school thinking about moving out at some point and living with strangers. The first season (not sure if there is going to be another one) had only 5 episodes and was produced in a documentary style format.
Each episode highlights a person who wronged one roommate or several people. Episode 1 featured a “grandma” who was taking advantage of mentally ill tenants at her home and taking their money and killing them. Another episode featured a man who was a serial squatter who would room with people and not pay rent for years and legally could not be kicked out.
What I learned from these episodes that you cannot trust people by the way they look. You have to do your background and not let strangers into your space. Some of the home owners did not do background checks first. I think that this show is worth looking at and give it a 5 out of 5 star rating.
