Update to Message 6: 1/7✔A Journey to the Centre of the Earth ⭐⭐
✔Movie watched! ⭐⭐⭐
The book was a bit slow for me. Lots of wandering through the dark and looking at scientific instruments. The movie wasn't the same story but took you to the same place. It took elements from the book and made them more exciting and watchable. Although it was still campy and the CG was terrible. But Brenden Fraser is watchable anyway! The movie gets one more star than the book for Mr. Fraser.
I finished Howl’s Moving Castle and thoroughly enjoyed it! It was as cute and fun and charming as the movie and it has a very Studio Ghibli feel to it! I definitely recommend.
Updated message 17: just read Wicked: The Life and Times of the Wicked Witch of the West which has been adapted into a musical. 1/2 completed
I finished Flowers for Algernon yesterday and watched the movie last night. Really enjoyed the book, especially for Charlie's own viewpoint. But the movie was pretty dull, not to mention leaving out entire characters and important plot points. Stick with the book.
I'm in for 5 please :)MEDIA MAYHEM
